FedEx Internet services:
IIT Sponsored Research uses the web version of Federal Express (instead of hard airbills) and we drop our packages in the FedEx mailbox. Also, we now send packages using Express Saver service whenever we can. We estimate this method reduces our package shipping costs about 10%.

Close unused phone circuits:
Run a report on the telephone system to discover telephones that have not been used in the last twelve months. Find these phones and remove them so we do not pay the associated monthly charge.

Create a web enabled database that allows Faculty and Staff to list unused furniture and equipment for use by other Faculty and Staff in need of furniture and equipment.
